River fish farming · Paraguay River
Native fish from the Paraguay River, raised with end-to-end control.
AquaRiver PY is studying a commercial fish farm with floating cages on the Paraguay River to supply wholesalers, distributors and restaurants with pacu and other native species, traceable batch by batch.

Pre-feasibility study: we are evaluating cages in the river and in backwaters connected to it. Feasibility depends on authorizations from MADES, DGPCRH, the Naval Prefecture and MAG, which have not yet been requested.
How we would work
A production cycle measured at every step. What is not measured is not sold.
- 01
Fingerlings of known origin
Pacu fingerlings from hatcheries with documented legal and health origin, never from wild catch.
- 02
Grow-out in cages
Low-volume cages moored in a surveyed stretch of river, with stocking density and feeding recorded daily.
- 03
Water measured, not assumed
Temperature, oxygen, pH, ammonia and transparency, with the instrument and person responsible for every reading.
- 04
Health with withdrawal periods
Only authorized treatments; the system blocks harvest until the withdrawal period has ended.
- 05
Harvest and cold chain
Processing at a licensed plant and refrigerated transport; every product batch with its traceability code.
Controls already built
The management platform exists and has been tested, although it does not yet hold real production data.
Quality and traceability →- Batch traceability
- Every product batch has a public code that shows verified data only.
- Withdrawal periods that block harvest
- The database rejects harvesting a treated batch too early.
- Records that cannot be edited
- A correction is a new record with a reason; the original stays in the history.
- Stock that cannot go negative
- Feed and fish are tracked through movements; the database prevents impossible balances.
Business vision
Build demand before committing to large volumes: first a pilot that measures growth, feed conversion and real prices; then scale only if the technical, financial and environmental results allow it.
For buyers
If you buy fish for distribution, food service or retail, tell us which product form and volume interest you. It helps us size the pilot. It is not a purchase commitment.
